What if... the bag killed it?
What if it was Lillie?
Or... what if the dead body is AN IMPOSTOR! And the real nebby is still out there, trying to trick us into killing amongst ourselves...
There must have been an Ultra Beast that wanted to free it's friends. I can't think of any other reason anybody would put a hit out on poor Nebby.
I'm more worried about the wormhole.
I'm not as concerned. Worst case scenario, the local Tapu can fight off whatever may come through there. What I'm worried about is the potential killer on the loose.
I'm a bit spooked I'll admit, it's a strange fog, but I'm sure we'll find whoever did this!
We have to get to the bottom of this... after this sick party tho lol
(Well, not much to say today, but I'd like to mention as a bit of a disclaimer that I haven't actually played Sun/Moon yet, so I will likely be a little slow on most references I'd imagine. I will do some research on the game when necessary, though should I slip up somewhere regarding 7th gen details please keep this in mind.)
...I mean, Venasaur!
I'm generally of the opinion that a first day lynch is almost always the correct option in standard games like this, but this board is typically against that. Leaning towards not lynching today unless anyone has any bright ideas.
Nope, I agree with you. We best not jump the gun and kill without any rhyme or reason.
I at least hope the killer had the common decency to use a super-effective attack
Ultra Wormhole is certainly a bad thing
I don't necessarily think lynching Day 1 is a bad idea, but obviously randomly doing so runs a higher risk of killing a townie than a mafia; however, I think it's a bad idea to just accept we aren't going to lynch to kill Day 1 and do nothing. That just wastes our time and makes us fairly reliant on the investigator (if there is one) to make any decisions.
We definitely need to do something to promote discussion, and a random lynch vote (not intended to kill) is definitely something that will do that.
I volunteer as tribute for a solitary lynch vote to spark discussion.
The problem with doing that is that everyone knows you aren't trying to kill so there's no reason for anyone to reveal their hands. I agree that not doing stuff basically makes the first day a waste, but OI's games in particular tend to have a rather visceral reaction to day 1 lynching.
The typical scenarios for Day 1 are something like this:
- Group doesn't want to lynch a random person based off nothing, resulting in others calling them out for wasting a day.
- Random Lynch is started on person x to initiate discussion of some kind
- other things idk it's been a long time since mafia happened
Historically speaking wasting Days have never really worked out for the Town, so it's probably in our best interest to do something. What that something is I don't know though.
We're spending too much time metagaming, wasting more time.
Day wasted or not, killing without evidence is a bad idea. However: if AKP wants to lynch without provocation, I must question whether he's one of the mafiosos. Considering that the mafia is a minority, it would be in their favor to attempt to get a random person killed, since if I'm not mistaken, that would be two deaths in one night, with each very likely to be a townie. Discuss.
Lynching based on absolutely nothing is pointless. We don't want to end up killing a townie because we jumped into a decision to quickly
