The streets were quiet. Even the Paradisea had disappeared. The few people that had ventured out after news of Solipsus’ release had since gathered in the Pokémon Center in the center of Bountai town and remained there under strict lockdown. One foolhardy trainer had attempted to leave for more food… that was two days ago. Solipsus seemed to be everywhere at once, as though it could instantly travel at will. There had already been sightings all around Zeralis, albeit mostly (and fortunately for the observers) brief, distance glimpses of a mysterious black void and a sudden burst of strange light. But now it appeared, in Bountai Town, right in front of the Pokémon Center. It was much more terrifying in person. Some people ran to cower behind the counter, a few couldn’t tear themselves from the window. The immense, dark shape reared its head and opened its mouth; its eyes and mouth, as well as the veins running down its back pulsed with energy that changed from a light blue to a bright red. Darkness enveloped the Pokémon Center as Solipsus emitted a terrifying, eerie roar, and then the Pokémon and the Center sunk into the dark void, and everything was dead quiet once again. Meanwhile, along the coast of Dune Town, another legendary Pokémon took careful, light steps in the sand. Its great white paws, studded with bright cyan gems, were powerful and steady as it looked around. A small lightning bolt darted through the air and landed beside the Pokémon in the form of Ellaith. The electric Pokémon looked up at Astrelleo and read the concern in the wise Pokémon’s eyes; after a brief moment, it took off again. Astrelleo looked towards the south, towards the desert-like cliffs by Ponamu City and Mao Village: Valyth was there, waiting for another challenger. Astrelleo knew he ought to confront the bird, but Solipsus was the pressing matter right now. And he knew that others would be after the bird once they’d heard of the sightings around Ponamu. To the east, then, by Lake Pacifi and Waikat, Novoni wove between buildings in the near-deserted town, darting out to the lake, looking around, and soaring into the air again. The Pokémon had already guided a few groups of people away from the towns in hopes of preventing Solipsus from finding them, but there was no telling how long it would take for the great Pokémon to find them anyway. The dragon sighed, and took a short rest along the lakeshore. In Taura village, Luna, Jordan and Dr. Trazom huddled in Dr. Trazom’s small house; the transcripts of the Unown tablet and the Zeralis Legend written out in a hard copy and across all of Trazom’s computer screens. He had sent it to any place he could think of; the Pokémon Leagues, Professor Ivy, Professor Oak, Professor Rowan, the Amayan Research Center, he even tried his old New Island research contact. Terrelta and Fuorasu had stressed the importance of the tablet, and the story of Ancient Zeralis seemed to hint at the release of Solipsus. Their only hope, then, was that it also hinted at how to stop it. ---------- Jordan flipped open his small laptop to check his email. Unlike the previous dozen times he had done this, though, this time he gasped. “Dr. Trazom, check this out. The Twilight people have responded, their consensus seems to be that there’s a fourth deity on Rakkioro Island that can be released.!” Trazom looked up. “A fourth deity? That’s nonsense. Every legendary Pokémon is accounted for in this Legend… heck, even Mew and Ho-oh are mentioned, and they’re not even Zeralian legends!” “But Mew was there, according to that Legend,” Luna said slowly. “It’s the best lead we’ve got right now, and we’ve got nothing to lose by checking it out. Well, not ‘we’, necessarily, but… someone.” “Who?” Luna thought for a moment. “The Twilight people? If it was their idea,” she suggested. Dr. Trazom shook his head. “They’ll be after Astrelleo. Eclipse is probably planning to ship out to Ponamu, and Aurora’ll be tracking Novoni…” his voice trailed off. “The Elite Four? Where’s Tajiro?” she asked. Trazom shrugged. “No one’s been able to contact them since Solipsus was freed.” Jordan finished reading the rest of the email and looked up. “The third word in the code. Sunrise. That team isn’t sidetracked by a deity, maybe they have people. The gym leaders are too busy trying to protect their cities.” “Send them an email, then,” Trazom said, looking out the window at the black sky. -------- “What were you thinking? What are you doing?” Lilia was nearly in tears now as she clutched Tajiro’s arm. “Where did the others go? Did you know about Solipsus?” The Champion pulled his arm away and shrugged. “Lilia, you do not understand. No one does. But the Champion… it is such a generic term anymore. Each region has one, and even they are being defeated every now and then... Pokémon training… all that has created is a desire for violence, control. It’s an endless cycle, one of which I no longer wish to be a part of. You remember hearing about Cyrus, in Sinnoh, correct? My goal exceeds even his. Solipsus is the greatest Pokémon in existence. Even Arceus himself won’t come down from his realm to confront it! Everything is playing out perfectly…” he said, a dark smile across his face. “You’re disgusting. How could you let the people of Zeralis be destroyed by that… that monster? You can’t possibly stop it, no one can!” “I don’t plan on stopping it, I plan on controlling it. Then we can learn of its true power… By controlling Solipsus, I control existence, what is nothing and what is something. It is truly remarkable,” he replied, clutching a strange, golden sphere in his hand. Lilia reached for a Pokeball at her belt and expanded it, but before she could release it, Tajiro had shoved her against the wall and released Flarya and Exterrestre, with the former pinning Lilia against the wall and the latter telepathically retrieving her Pokeballs and handing them to Tajiro. “Keep an eye on her, Flayra,” he said coldly, turning around. The Flarios gave the girl a sort of apologetic look before raising her arms to create a ring of fire around them. Tajiro pulled out a small device and glanced at the small screen. A frightening grin spread across his face again. “Solipsus has been spotted on Navel Island.” Team Leaders (or if the Leader is not online and a topic hasn't been made yet, any team member may do so) will create topics in their secret bases to discuss their plans involving their deities (and in Surise’s case, an expedition to Rakkioro Island) and organize a squad of 4-5 team members in the next 48 hours to embark (Do you want to try to confront your Deity? Guide it to another to battle? Protect it from Solipsus?). You will then be transported to your teams’ bases where you can access your PC and the plaza before embarking. Those of you who are participating in the tournament but have passed the Whirlpool Strait are welcome to join your teams' squads. Lone Wolves can request to join a team squad, as well; to do so, you must PM the team leader. For those involved in the squads and those not, be on the lookout for Solipsus! If you find the Pokémon, officials are advising you not try to battle it, and instead try to escape as far away as quickly as possible. Solipsus seems to have the ability to absorb people, Pokémon, and objects in a strange void, possibly to a parallel world similar to the Distortion World, but nothing can be confirmed yet. |

A few things that have been brought up real quick: For the squads, Levels will not be important. These will be mostly (if not all) action updates, so the focus will be for RP'ing character/team development/teamwork/storyline, so if you' worried that your team leader won't pick you because your highest-leveled Pokémon is only at 15, don't be. It is also possible that teams will get separated if Solipsus attacks, in which case, certain members may find themselves in its void by themselves (where they would then make their own thread- if you're confused about that, you'll figure out what it is soon) |

(Has permission to post) ATTENTION LONE WOLVES! Eclipse is running low on members who are willing to go on the expedition, so they need you to assist them(That's right, you in the blue. Don't think I don't see you hiding from my megaphone). Shoot a PM to me if interested, but remember, Eclipse is picky about who they choose; if any team members decide to join the squad then you may not be accepted. If we get too many people who want to join, we will also have to eliminate a few of our options, so don't apply if you are easily disappointed. |

Attention Team Leaders I want a list of your squad(s) by tonight, 9 PM EST. If you have more than seven people expressing interest in joining you may have two squads. Be sure to give everyone eligible a chance to join if they want to participate. When you PM me, please include a list of all players (Team and Lone Wolves) and the city in Zeralis you would like to start from (Ponamu, Waikat, Dune, Taura, etc, or Rakkioro Island) You will start from a city and from there you can move to any adjacent route (Exclude the Jungle for Dune Town, so you would move to Route 304) as long as you simply post in your current city thread that you are heading out. If you think you might not be around tonight, put another team member in charge of PM'ing me this information. I want this started as soon as possible. Lone Wolves, this is your LAST CHANCE to PM a team leader if you haven't already done so and are interested in participating. Start planning your last posts in your topic/team changes now so that when I've gotten a list of all the squads we can start. Good luck everybody! |

After a fair bit of scrambling, the four teams organized some of their top members into squads and prepared to set out for their ultimate mission. Since the squads are pretty big (some of them, at least), feel free to have more than one post between updates if different players want to roleplay a bit more and interact with teammates. |

“Lilia darling, I’m back!” Tajiro said with a sneer as he strode back into the dark room above Tasmain Stadium where the ring of fire was still trapping the elite trainer. “I had some last minute business to attend to before I catch up with Solipsus again. It travels remarkably fast,” he said, examining his reflection and the large jewels around his neck in a small hand mirror made of glowing, swirled blue glass. Lilia ignored him, only looking up once to glare at him in disgust. He continued, “Of course, though, things cannot go as easily as I want them to. The teams have taken it upon themselves to try to work together now to stop Solipsus. It’s touching, but even if they can get the three deities to work together, it will be of no use. Let’s see… I think we’ll take care of Astrelleo first, the wise old beast is sure to have a few tricks up his sleeve, so to speak. The little dragon will probably go down easily while trying to save some poor, defenseless Pokémon, and Valyth would never turn down a fight. So my next fake orb,” he said, placing the golden sphere on a table next to a packet of papers, “will have to wait. Flarya, leave her, there’s nothing she can do, her Pokémon are all locked away, and I need your help.” The Flarios looked at him. Master, I… I would never want to disobey you, but I think you are taking this too far. We did not realize Solipsus’ capabilities… the fire Pokémon stammered. Tajiro looked at her. I fear we made a terrible mistake. He glared at her.“You dare to question me now? You dare to hesitate on our goals? Flarya, you know how long I have worked for this! Without this you would still be a weak, helpless Gri! Worthless! Solipsus is the key to make the world we envisioned a reality!” he shouted. “Solipsus is going to destroy the world, yours or otherwise!” Lilia suddenly screamed. Tajiro ignored her and continued glaring at his Pokémon. And although the Flarios was taller and more powerful, she wavered; her eyes were watery. I mean you no disrespect, I promise! I know you saved me, and I am truly grateful. I am only looking out for you… she began. “You think I am too weak to fight it? Well Flarya, if you don’t come with me, you are against me, and you shall feel the wrath of Solipsus. I have things more powerful anyway. It is your choice. Stay with me and live, or cower away and die,” he spat. The Flarios looked at him, her eyes wide. She said nothing, and Tajiro turned to untie a long, wrapped object he had placed on the table earlier. As the packaging fell away, the shining sword caught the light of the fire and flickered brightly in the faint light. “The Sword of Valor, the Jewels of Benevolence, and the Mirror of Wisdom,” he said in awe. “The sword’s hilt snaps open to place the mirror inside, and the back of the mirror has an inset carved out to fit the main jewel perfectly. With this ultimate weapon, I will finally control Solipsus. It’s time to leave. Flarya, it’s now or never!” He looked at the fire Pokémon as he held the regalia items at his side. She hesitated…. and remained standing where she was. Tajiro frowned. “Suit yourself. I will bring Solipsus back here to let it take care of you two while I watch. Farewell,” he called over his shoulder as he pressed a button to close and lock down the stadium. Flarya and Lilia were left alone, the only light coming from the fire on the Flarios; the ring of flames imprisoning Lilia had died away as Flarya sank to her knees. ------- Tajiro stood, the combined Regalia items in one hand, the other keeping him steady as he stood balanced on his Exterrestre as they flew north to nearby Rakkioro island. The black shape on the horizon was unmistakeable. He smiled. It is mine. As they flew over the shores of Rakkioro, he watched the unfolding war with mild interest. Dozens of Pokémon and people were fighting the hoards of dark Chaos Pokémon and attempting to attack Solipsus himself. What fools. But they provide the necessary distraction. Perfect. The chaos of the battles allowed him to float by nearly unnoticed, even Fuorasu, he saw, was too concerned with attacking Solipsus. Why were they making such a big deal to take on the monster, he wondered. Surely they could never win, and they must know that. He looked around, and his eyes landed on Tiechros and the two other legendary Pokémon at the mysterious shrine, which looked much larger than he remembered when he visited it years ago on his quest for information about Solipsus. He frowned; could there really be something there to stop Solipsus? But no, he shook the thought from his head; it clearly wasn’t a whole temple for a fourth deity. Pity if those Sunrise trainers thought they were being valiant and could find a secret deity. It seems they will be the first to go. His Exterrestre was now hovering right above Solipsus, and the Pokémon had noticed. It opened its mouth and lurched upwards, but with a flick of his wrist Tajiro released his Swanami as Exterrestre teleported a few yards away. The bird screeched and flew around Solipsus’ head. There must be sacrifices. Swanami couldn’t avoid it. The bird was too close, and Solipsus was far too powerful. Its eyes and mouth glowing a bright red; it fired a strange beam at the bird, and both the strange attack and Swanami dissipated; they were gone. One of the Aquai had seen what happened, and darted after Tajiro’s Exterrestre, but Solipsus’ rampage prevented it from reaching its target, and it was forced to duck under the waves. By now Exterrestre was lowering itself close to the large, oval-shaped jewel on Solipsus’ back. Solipsus turned its head around and glared at the floating Pokémon and the man standing on it. It roared; Tajiro jumped. The beam that shot forward from the creature’s mouth hit Exterrestre, and it too vanished as Tajiro landed on the crimson jewel. With one fast motion, he swung the sword end around and thrust it deep into the center of the jewel. Solipsus roared as the sword sunk into it, and small cracks spread from the center of the jewel. Slowly, the jewel began to glow, as did the combined regalia items, as well, in a strange, swirling gold color. Tajiro had his hands clutched tightly around the handle of the mirror and sword, and slowly his eyes took on the same gold glow, as well. Solipsus was in a complete rage now, and thrashed about in the ocean wildly; the Aquai and Fuorasu and other nearby Pokémon quickly backed away. But parts of the energy veins were now seeping up the sides of the jewel and wrapping around and up Tajiro’s leg, allowing him to keep balance. He threw his head back and laughed. “Solipsus, the Pokémon of Chaos! The Regalia items store the deities’ energies as well as your own; they were made to prevent you from ever escaping! But now thanks to my efforts you have escaped, and so now I use the power of the Regalia to connect us and control you! I am your savior, your master! Together we purge the planet of everything that stands in our way, of everything unimportant to my world! I am no longer just the Champion of Zeralis!” He looked towards the shrine on the cliff. As he turned his head, so did Solipsus. They gazed at the shrine, which was now glowing, and the three Pokémon standing around it. He laughed, and as he did so, Solipsus roared again. “Do whatever you like! It will all be in vain!” he screamed, and they turned around and headed back towards Zeralis. ------ As Tajiro and Solipsus reached the shores of Zeralis, at the south-running river, a loud screeched echoed in the west. They turned their heads. “So, Valyth is coming for a fight, is he?” Tajiro said, grinning wickedly. But a roar soon answered the screech from the same direction, followed by a higher, mystical cry from the north. Tajiro narrowed his eyes; Solipsus bared its teeth. “Well, well, all three deities are coming. Fine, we shall defeat them all!” Tajiro screamed, and Solipsus answered the deities’ cries with a dreadful roar of its own. The last battle was about to begin. |

Continued from events here: http://orangeislands.net/topic/8613086/1/#new As Solipsus walked off towards the mainland with Tajiro at the helm, and as the trainers who had fought so hard to keep it away returned to the shore, the island of Rakkioro was completely silentt. Many of the trainers were furious, plotting the quickest way back to the mainland to extract revenge; others were too scared to speak; others still were frozen in shock. It seemed like even the wind was too frightened to blow. Solipsus's army of nonexistence had disappeared as well, and not a soul dared to move. Amidst the silence, something clicked softly, and the shrine locked into place. It looked relatively the same as before, albeit quite a bit taller. In the center, however, a pedestal had been forced up, upon which sat a rather uninteresting violet gemstone. It was glowing dimly, as if begging to be left alone. One of the trainers stepped forwards and picked it up. "This is what so many of our Pokémon sacrificed their lives for? It's just a rock!" The Purity Diamond is a sacred relic. It is said to increase the power of whoever wields it a hundredfold. Our ancestors left it behind to use as a weapon against Solipsus. It is not just a rock. "Well, that's good and all," said another trainer. "But what Pokémon is strong enough to use it against Solipsus? Or rather, who would our chances be best with?" "My Tsunamic!" yelled one trainer. "No, my Ferazon!" "What about my Riogua?" "Tiechros should take it! He is a legendary Pokémon, after all." The trainers began to quarrel over who would get to wield the sacred stone, when suddenly, there was a small popping sound, and a flash of soft pink light. At its source floated a small pink creature, with a long, waving tail. Mew? Ancestor to us all? What brings you here? Mew glanced around, as though it were thinking to itself. The trainers had not noticed its arrival; they were too busy arguing. So the tiny Pokémon floated over to the trainer holding the Diamond and took it from his hand. The trainer hardly noticed. Mew floated above the altar, turning the Diamond over in its tiny paws. It briefly recalled the stone from its younger days; it had used it in battle against Solipsus before, and although the Diamond had bestowed it with amazing power, Mew had eventually been forced to flee. But something felt different this time. Of course, Mew had felt a little... stranger... ever since its journey to New Island many months ago, but still... Something had begun glowing with an intense, bright light, like that of a Pokémon evolving. All of the trainers turned to see what it was. The ancient trio of Zeralis was already watching intently, as were the two Aquai from before, who were sitting silently on the cliffside. It was Mew. Its whole body was glowing an intense white. Suddenly, two large wings sprouted from its back. Its tail grew longer and wider, and its ears and body as a whole grew as well. As the light dimmed, the trainers could see that this was no longer Mew.  It was ChronaMew. The ultimate combination of natural and artificial power. Just as confused as everyone else, Mew realized what needed to be done. It glanced at the Aquai for a moment, and vanished in a flash of pink light. It had a battle to finish. The other trainers glanced at each other, nodded, and sped off for the mainland. They had to do something–anything–to help. |

Canarosa and Aerodactyl came in fast right behind Novoni in formation, carrying their riders Ryordin and Reia. Though they couldn't see their teammates, they were no doubt moving quickly. As they arrived on scene, at the mouth of the river, they could see Tajiro, grasping a strange blade plunged into Solipsus' back. Tajiro was in control of Solipsus, using his superior logic to specifically target the proper threats. "Novoni..."Reia called out. "Novoni, you're the only one with us who can damage Solipsus. We need you to attack it, from the front, with the most powerful attacks you have. We've got a plan." "Trust us, Novoni, and blast Solipsus in the face with everything you've got!" Reia broke left and Ryordin broke right, circling around Solipsus as it focused on Novoni. Tajiro was in plain sight now, entirely unobstructed from the Aurora's flying mounts. The pair leaned back to steer their birds into a steep climb, quickly finding themselves a hundred meters above Solipsus. Tajiro could still be seen, gripping the blade in Solipsus' back.. "Eurynome! Alias!" Ryordin and Reia called out as they released their Pokémon. Ryordin now shared his mount with the blue aquatic rodent, and Reia shared hers with a strange artificial Pokémon. "See if you can hit Tajiro from up here with your Psybeams! That'll surely disrupt his plan!" |

Stephen hopped on Ares and sped after Valyth. "Now I need to devise a plot to stop Solipsus and Tajiro," Stephen thought, despite Valyth's furious screeching. "the best plan would be a stealth attack from behind, but there's no way he's not going to notice Valyth when he's making an uproar like thi- WOULD YOU SHUT UP?" He screamed at Valyth, "Good. Now listen. I have a plan, but it won't work if you're making noise. It's an ambush. I'm guessing you don't like ambushes because they don't show your true power, but they can also show that you are smart enough not to sprint into a battle you cannot win. Now here's my plan. I'm going to give you some cloud cover and when that is up you need to sneak behind Solipsus, attack him quickly, and then dart into the clouds again. Take Extee with you so he can guide you and put up a safeguard around you two." Valyth gave a nod, and they continued to fly forward until Solipsus was barely seeable. "K, Extee and Valyth you guys wait here, and be quiet," Stephen pulled out a pokeball and sent a large black Pokémon out onto Valyth's wing, "Puddles, use rain dance," he said, and then he recalled the Pokémon. "Strike at will, but make sure you are behind Solipsus. Hopefully Extee will ensure that." The rain began pouring down instantly and with it came large dark clouds. Stephen flew forward on Ares, but landed before he got too close to Solipsus. He let out Pasir and said, "Go under ground and dig until you get under Solipsus, but stay underground. When you get under him begin to make an extremely deep cavern that is about as big as Solipsus is. As soon as you have made the cavern start thinning out the ground under Solipsus until the cavern collapses. Get out of there as soon as you possibly can after it begins to collapse." Pasir seemed to nod and then it vanished under the soil. Stephen flew forward on Ares and finally he was at the battle, many trainers attempting to finish off Solipsus and Tajiro alongside Novoni, Astrelleo, and, even if they didn't know it, Valyth. Stephen had to try and attempt to take out Tajiro now, but this was going to be difficult with Solipsus around, but then he saw another trainer doing something clever with a Nebulion; he decided to mimic him, "Kyrii, hit Tajiro with shock wave!" |

Darius couldn't believe what was happening now. Each diety was launching attack after earth-shaking attack at the demonic dragon, while Tajiro laughed maniacally on its back. The ensuing carnage was overwhelming as Pokémon were being taken from this earth to whatever hellish pit was inside Solipsus. He noticed Stephen and Valyth quietly slipping away from the battle, and at first thought that they were attempting to flee. His blood grew hot at this notion, and he began to fly after him with Swablu. He quickly realized that they weren't fleeing, but rather attempting to sneak up on Solipsus from behind. Of course that's what they're doing, idiot. He thought. Valyth would never flee from anything, and Stephen isn't one to run either. After shaking this notion from him, he saw that trainers were commanding their Pokémon to strike Tajiro with various ranged attacks. He realized that although he was rather weak, he could help stop Solipsus in this regard. He landed and called out a few of his trusty parteners. "Elekid, Antrax, join with those Pokémon over there and try to stop Tajiro with your Thundershock and Acid attacks. Swablu, Pattle, use Featherstorm and Bubble on Solipsus. Those attacks usually lower speed, so try to use them to slow Solipsus down. That will make it easier for everyone to hit Tajiro." I hope this helps. He thought. |

Aaric wasn't sure how to help - seeing all of this happen over the water, he had no idea how to reach the rest of the group and help - and he saw his only solution. Zipping up his back, he took a deep breath - he was swimming that way, it was his only option. His water Type Pokémon likely couldn't support his weight for long so he'd have to hope it'd carry him a significant distance. Looking off the sheer cliff he closed his eyes and wished for a swift death if it didn't work - but overall, he was surprisingly fearless in the face of this situation. Without second thoughts, he dived like an Olympic swimmer off of the cliff, hands over his head in a fin shape - though that didn't last long. Before he could hit the water, his shout could be heard above. "Chinchou, GO!" The Island Pokémon emerged below him and moved with a bit of panic, and as Aaric hit the water, he could have sworn he saw a light... he hadn't died, but whatever it was, it was enough to keep him awake from the shock of hitting slightly cold water. Grabbing hold of Chinchou, he began to kick his legs as the Pokémon moved forward. "Chinchou, follow that thing, head towards the mainland!" |

Immense, dark clouds spread over the land as far as the eye could see. Solipsus roared as Pokémon from all angles began launching attacks at it and Tajiro. The Champion laughed as Solipsus swung its head and tail around, thrashing about and causing all the nearby Pokémon and trainers to flee in panic. As it turned its head again though, it found itself face to face with Novoni, who darted around the massive creature and launched a powerful pulse of energy at it before weaving through the air and flying around to avoid any of Solipsus' attacks. Meanwhile, Astrelleo landed to its side, roaring as thunderbolts rained down from the sky and struck Solipsus. And finally Valyth dove down and launched a powerful pulse of dark energy at the back of the monster; unfortunately, though, the attack narrowly missed Tajiro. Solipsus swung its head around to look at the three deities; as it did so, both it and Tajiro's eyes changed to a glowing red hue. With a roar, it launched a mysterious void all around itself; the deities darted out of the way, but a few of the nearby Pokémon weren't so lucky. A brave Elekid and a Telazure sunk into the void and vanished; a Nebulion was just barely able to use its Extremespeed attack to escape. Solipsus went to take another step forward and found the ground beneath it collapse suddenly; it responded by stomping both feet into the ground to create massive shockwaves, and the Sharoglyph resurfaced and he too was lost in the void, too weak from the earthquake to avoid Solipsus' attack. Solipsus roared and unleashed another void around itself, but suddenly the three deities were surrounding it again, the jewels on their chest, neck, and forehead glowing brightly as ring of energy formed around them, surrounding the void and Solipsus. Tajiro looked around and shouted to the three Pokémon, "You're trying to protect them, are you? We will just defeat you first, and then your little teammates will be helpless!" ---------- Meanwhile, Team Sunrise and two remaining members from Aurora were still heading north, nearing the shore; they could see the dark shape of Solipsus once again over the horizon. They were all standing on a large rock torn out of the cliffside by Jungaia, who was hovering over it as it was propelled forward by Nafanua, Neptune, Riogua and the two Aquai. Auranux flew beside them, and Tiechros stood on the edge, watching the horizon with its bright red eye. "What can Mew do that the other deities can't already?" Suen mused. Rhys clutched his remaining three Pikachu tightly as Vajra and Cybervitor stood at the edge of the rock and watched the dark shape on the horizon loom ever closer. Mitch was watching Tiechros closely and Novoni was standing on the side nearest Auranux. Senna and Natt stood near the center of the rock, looking around anxiously. Kal stood at the back near Jungaia. A bolt of electricity darted around them and straight ahead to join a fireball and ripple already flying high in the sky. Auranux looked up. "Ellaith..." someone muttered, but then something else caught their attention; another dark shape was flying towards them. Kal peered out towards it, and his mouth fell open in surprise. "NO! IT CAN'T BE!" The dark bird was flying low and fast, its silver wings skimming the surface of the water. It was coming from the same direction the lightning bolt had. "Looks like Ellaith went to get more help," Novoni said, watching as Millenio flew past them to reach the shore. ---------- The pink sphere had emerged quite suddenly, no one was really sure where or when exactly it showed up, but suddenly, Tajiro and Solipsus were watching it with piqued interest. The sphere faded, and the Pokémon inside opened its bright teal eyes and glared at Solipsus. "Myuuuu...." it purred. Tajiro laughed. "Did Sunrise find a deity after all? A fancy little kitten?" he jeered; the remaining Sunrise and Aurora members were just now arriving with Auranux, Tiechros, Jungaia, the Aquai, and Millenio. Valyth watched the other dark bird as it flew low and suddenly soared into the air above the black clouds. "Reinforcements! Good, I'll take care of all the threats to us in one fell swoop. Solipsus, attack!." The creature fired an immense beam of dark energy towards the shore; the trainers nearby barely dodged, but the Aquai raised their tiny paws and brought up an immense wave to push them out of the way. But the one closest to the shore was hit; as its sibling watched in horror, it opened its mouth in shock before dissipating into nothingness. The small water Pokémon sank back into the waves, still frozen in terror. Solipsus aimed another beam at the small Pokémon, and it was only Tiechros' time bending abilities that allowed it to save Aquai. Jungaia raised its arms and jagged rocks rose out of the ground in an attempt to hinder Solipsus' movements. The three ghost darted around, striking at the dragon's back and Tajiro with fire, lightning, and water, but by now the energy from Solipsus and the Regalia items had allowed him to raise a strange barrier around himself. Solipsus' void, though, was still unable to break through the deities' shield, but the three Pokémon had to stay close around the massive Pokémon to keep the shield up and protect everyone from the massive void. Tajiro smirked. "You can't protect them forever! Come and fight again!" he screamed. "Valyth, don't be a coward!" But he was cut off as a bright sphere of energy collided with the shield around him, causing him to temporarily loose his balance. Chronamew hovered above him slowly. Both the Champion and Solipsus turned to watch the small pink Pokémon. "You are meddling where you shouldn't Mew, whether your fancy new form has made you more powerful or not, it will never be enough." Solipsus launched another dark beam at Chronamew, but it nimbly darted out of the way and wove around Solipsus' head with incredible speed. Solipsus growled in annoyance and snapped at the flying creature whenever it came close, but each time Mew was a step ahead. When it could, it would spin around to fire more spheres of energy at the massive Pokémon, and Solipsus grew more and more angry as it tried in vain to attack it. The trainers on the shore watched in horror. "What can we do to help?" Reia asked, looking around. A few were releasing more Pokémon, or rushing to stand behind their team's deity for assitance. "We have to get rid of Tajiro," Dood muttered. Solipsus fired another beam, a bright red one now, and this time Mew's wing was grazed, and the small Pokémon fell in a lopsided arc as it was hit. The evil Pokémon seemed to grin before firing another beam, this time jet black, at it, but a bolt of lightning intercepted the beam, and Ellaith vanished with an eerie howl. Astrelleo growled and fired an icy beam at Solipsus, striking the Pokémon's leg, and it turned to look at its attacker. Acting quickly, then, Valyth and Novoni, still flying and circling it to keep their shield up, launched quick beams in succession too. The distraction worked; Mew had enough time to restore its energy and take off after Solipsus once again.  |

Damion and his squad had sat back, while the other teams rushed to do what they felt was right. There's no sense sending everyone to the front lines I told my team, much tot heir distain. Astrello had gone off to fight how it felt best, while Mewthree and Team Twilight remained on the brink of the battlefield. Every new roar sent shivers running down our spines. We watched as the great beast tore threw helpless Pokémon, and Mew took a new form. His team members begged with each second to begin their part in the fray, but still they were held back. There would be one great moment where it made perfect sense to attack. "Look!" shouted Roxas pointing towards the ocean. A group of Pokémon had gathered, some familiar looking guardian Pokémon and the two Aquai, along with a handful of trainers. The young trainer turned and gave a look of satisfaction. Smiling while the words escaped my lips after what felt like milleniums of with holding. "Alright, Team Twilight's part in this battle begins now." I took back the PokeBall i had entrusted Max with, calling out the Terrelta dwelling within. I nodded to him before calling out Cosmion, Canarosa and Emblare to join him. Roxas called out his Sonnest, Vollav, Doomsay and Nebulion. Amerac, his Scizor, Sandslash, Aerodactyl and Quilava. Max called for his Charmeleon, Tangela, Nebulion and Esker. Manny chose his Rapidare, Karama, Psibian and Pattle. Mion prepared to choose his team but I stopped him. "I'm sorry, but not all of us will be able to make this journey. we need someone we can trust to stay behind, in the best interest of the team. If all goes to hell, and we don't make ti back, you're the new leader. In the likely event we cut a whole thew this bigass gargoyle, we'll rejoice together later." I turned to the remaining 4 trainers. "It's our job to help those trainers out there. We'l break into 3 seperate attacking squads. Roxas, Max, you're the aerial attackers. You're entrusted with Canarosa, Sonnest, Vollav, Rapidare, Aerodactyl, Scizor and Esker. You're job is to attack that betrayer of an ex-chapion with everything you can muster from above. Manny, Amerac, you take Charmeleon, Pattle, Cosmion, both Nebulion and Quilava. Your job is to attack Tarijo to, but you'll be doing it from the ground once the aerial squad starts their attack. I turned to Mewthree. "You're going to have to teleport us all down there, far enough so we can set-up our attack plan, but close enough it won't take much time. You and I are in charge of Emblare, Sandslash, Karama, Terrelta, Tangela, Psibian and Doomsay. We'll be attacking Solipsus head on, drawing its attention to give the other squads time to move into position." The mighty Pokémon held my stare for a moment. His silence actually reassured me, anything the Pokémon could've said wouldn't improve the situation. But we currently had the least casualties, and nothing to complain about thuse far. Without another word, we were Teleported across the battlefield and began scrambling to our jobs. -------------------------------------------------------- We hit the ground in a pathetic crash of limbs, faces and sand. However, I took no more than a moment to dust myself off, before running towards the great beast bellowing before us. It seemed to be in a standstill with mew. The three deitys held its attention for a moment with their combined powers. 'Let's give a proper Team Twilight greeting to our demon friend here!" i barked at the wind. Sandslash, Poison Sting! Psibian, Pound!, Doomsay, Ember! Emblare, Fire Punch, Karama, ram into one of its feet! Tangela, hit another leg with a stun spore! Terrelta, blast an arua Sphere at that things ugly face!" I called to our loyal twilightmon. Mewthree seemed to be preparing a Psychic attack, eyeing the beast for the perfect moment to strike. |

By now nearly everyone’s Pokémon were released and doing their best to launch an attack at Solipsus and Tajiro. The legendary Pokémon continued launching their attacks, too, but it was no use; the barrier around Tajiro from Solipsus and the Regalia treasures kept him safe. ChronaMew and Solipsus continued trading attacks, with neither one backing down. The only positive thing was that the deities’ powers were still preventing Solipsus from sending out its massive void to consume everyone. As the battle raged on, Tajiro released his final three Pokémon, a Pamboo, a Terrang, and a Karozur, to fight on the ground; the trainers’ Pokémon immediately surrounded them to battle. The Karozur roared and unleashed a massive pulse of draconic energy, striking the first three Pokémon to approach it, and a small, violet orb hung around its neck. Every now and then, when Solipsus could avoid Mew, it would fire its dark beam towards the shore, causing more and more Pokémon to vanish. “What can we do? Even the legendary Pokémon aren’t strong enough!” “Fercoa, NO!” “Esker…. where’s Esker?!” “Look out!” “His Karozur… his Karozur has his orb! Rosemary, attack it!” Chaos reigned. Solipsus was just too huge, too powerful, to go down. Mewthree launched a shadowball at the monster and hovered back down to the Twilight squad. You. Let me borrow your orb, he said, pointing to the green sphere Amerac was clutching. “What? Uh, sure,” he replied, handing it over cautiously. Rand noticed, and looked around; Jungaia was standing a few feet in front of him, its arms raised as it created more and more jagged rocks around Solipsus. “Jungaia! Here, take this!” he shouted, running towards the earth Pokémon as he held out his jet black orb. The Pokémon lowered its arms and looked at Rand, then reached out to take the orb. “Well, then, here, I’m giving mine to Tiechros!” Ricky said, and the white and black Pokémon turned to look at him, then nodded in thanks as he handed over the blue orb. The other legendary Pokémon were starting to notice, as were the other trainers. Vince waved to Auranux as he held out his orb; the flying Pokémon flew down and lowered it head so the Aurora leader could place it around his neck. It stretched out its wings and began glowing brightly; it turned to thank Vince before soaring into the air. Fuorasu glided down to Stephen, and he placed the orb carefully over the Pokémon’s fiery mane as it watched with bright eyes. “Avenge Ellaith,” Stephen said. Fuorasu gave a small nod, then took off again in a dazzling burst of fire. Novoni ran towards Spiragua as the water Pokémon looked around. “Spiragua, take mine!” she said, and the small Pokémon stood still as she placed the gold orb around the water ghost. Spiragua looked down curiously at the orb for a moment, then back at Novoni before taking off after Fuorasu. Kal had his red orb in his hand, looking around. Suddenly, a screech from the sky echoed above him, and his eyes grew wide with terror as Millenio landed next to him and watched him carefully. “Uh…. Here you go,” he said, hands shaking slightly, but Millenio lowered its head slowly to allow the Sunrise leader to reach up and place the orb around the dark bird’s neck. It cawed a thanks and took off into the air again. Finally, the remaining Aquai hovered over to Dood. He looked at the small water Pokémon. “Listen, you better use this to make the biggest thunderbolt ever and aim it right at that bastard’s heart, got it?” The small water Pokémon smiled as he placed the orb around its neck. The orbs glowed brightly as the legendary Pokémon sprang into action with renewed efforts. Millenio raised its wings and cast a dark veil around itself, making it nearly impossible to see, and Mewthree flew through the air and landed carefully on the giant bird. Jungaia hovered closer and raised its arms; instantly, the ground burst with a massive earthquake, causing Solipsus to stumble. Auranux was now glowing more brightly than ever, and in a dazzling flash of light it flew right at Solipsus’ face, and the great Pokémon roared and closed its eyes as the blinding light struck it. Aquai hovered over the sea and brought up a massive wave; as the water surrounded it it flew into Solipsus’ side, nearly toppling it over after it had lost its balance from Jungaia’s attack. Millenio and Mewthree dove out of the sky, both charging up massive spheres of shadow energy, and launched them at Tajiro. They collided with the barrier, which burst in a flash of light; Tiechros leapt up towards him with its Extremespeed as the barrier burst. Its eyepiece glowing brightly, it raised its arms and hovered near Tajiro, who seemed to slow down; the barrier would take longer to rebuild itself now. Finally, two meteors seemed to fly out of the sky, swirling around each other in a brilliant flame and an icy ripple of water. Solipsus was still struggling to regain its eyesight and balance, and Fuorasu and Spiragua collided with Tajiro; with an anguished scream he was sent flying off Solipsus’ back as the two ghost Pokémon soared back around Solipsus in a bright red and blue light. A cheer rose up from the shore as the trainers and Pokémon watched, and ChronaMew’s eyes met Solipsus as the two prepared for their final attacks… |

Solipsus roared louder than ever, now in control of its body once again. It had been watching the battle from the back of its mind, its body thrown around like a puppet under Tajiro's control. But now Solipsus was back in full reign–and ready to destroy anything that stood in its path. The two jewels on its body began to glow brighter than ever. There was a harsh snapping sound, and the three Regalia items that had been planted in the jewel on its back were sent flying through the air, scattering on the ground around it. Solipsus roared, and launched a beam of unworldly black energy from its mouth–and straight at Novoni. But before the attack could land, Valyth swooped into its path and vanished on contact. The other two deities stared in awe and respect; Solipsus merely grunted, and then noticed with malicious glee that the barrier the deities had created was dissipating. It roared again, and unleashed a huge black void, far more powerful than any before it. Novoni and Astrelleo began to counterattack, but were absorbed by the void before they could move. The other Pokémon and trainers engaged in the battle stared in hopelessness. They had come all this way for nothing. Suddenly, there was an explosion of golden light as ChronaMew launched a huge blast of pure energy at Solipsus. The void wavered as energy deflected off of it, but it could not hold. There was was a loud CRACK!, and the void collapsed in on itself, sucking in ChronaMew with it. But before it vanished entirely, one last beam of pure dark energy blasted out of it and struck Tajiro, who was surrounded by furious trainers and Pokémon. The void vanished, leaving nothing in its wake. Solipsus, ChronaMew, Tajiro–they were all gone, save for a huge crater in the ground. Liquid magma bubbled into the pit, but it would not make it to the top. Was it truly over? In the dimension of nonexistence, a bright sphere appeared, flickered for a moment, and vanished. In its place stood Solipsus, master of this domain. Near him sat Tajiro, who made a mad scramble to get as far away from the beast as possible. In front of Solipsus floated ChronaMew, who was easily the brightest thing in the dimension. A number of trainers and Pokémon–probably those who had fallen to Solipsus's wrath–began to approach the scene, confused and hopeful. Solipsus roared, and sliced through the air, creating a new rift back to the real world. It began to climb through, but was met with a blast of energy from ChronaMew. Solipsus roared, furious, and blasted back. But it was deflected again; this time by three beams of energy from the darkness. From their source soared the three Deities of Zeralis. They glanced at ChronaMew, nodded, and flew through the dimensional rift. There was a flash of yellow light from the darkness, and a bolt of lightning soared past, stopping to hover just in front of the dimensional rift. Trainers and Pokémon alike began to pour through, eager to get out of this horrible place as fast as possible. Hundreds upon thousands of strange, gray Pokémon gave chase, their eyes glowing yellow with hate. But the yellow bolt defended them, soaring with blinding speed through the void, each gray Pokémon it flew through exploding in a burst of energy. Solipsus roared again; this one a furious shriek, and charged at the dimensional rift again. This time, however, it found that it could not make it through. It looked through, and saw the three Deities of Zeralis on the other side, a barrier of shimmering light between them. As trainers and Pokémon alike made for the dimensional rift, ChronaMew saw one who seemed to be refusing to move: Tajiro. It hovered down to him, and held out a wing. Tajiro glared, and spit at it. "Don't insult me!" he snapped. "I've come this far on my own, and I'm not about to start taking help from the likes of you!" ChronaMew shrugged, and sped back to the battle. As the last trainer jumped through the rift, the bolt of lighting dissipated into the form of Ellaith, who took one last glance at ChronaMew, who nodded to it. Ellaith nodded back solemnly, and bolted through the rift. ChronaMew took a deep breath, and a sphere of energy began to form between the tips of its wings like a halo, merely a point of light in the dark abyss. This was the point of no return. Solipsus shrieked in fury and desperation, and turned to face ChronaMew. The small psychic Pokémon looked up to face it, confident and fearless. Solipsus screamed again, and launched a beam of malevolent red energy at ChronaMew. The psychic type easily teleported behind Solipsus, now holding the sphere of energy in front of its stomach with psychic energy, and soared into the dimensional rift. Solipsus understood what was happening, and fired one last desperate blast of energy. ChronaMew sphere collided with the dimensional tear, and there was a blinding flash of light as the entire dimension of nonexistence lit up. The rift wavered for a moment, and vanished. Solipsus slashed at the air again, but there was nothing. It was trapped. On the other side of the rift, in the real world, the fading form of ChronaMew hovered above the destroyed battlefield, and took one last look at the sky. Sunlight was beginning to poke through the clouds, and it thought it saw a spot of blue. Perfect. Then it vanished, leaving only a deep violet stone in its place. It fell to the ground and into the pit of magma, which lit up in a blinding burst of light. The light faded, revealing a solid disk of stone, with a violet stone set in center. Surrounding it were hundreds upon hundreds of Unown glyphs, spelling out ancient spells in a language that had been lost millennia ago. There was a joint sigh from everyone present. The battle was finally over. The three deities nodded to each other, and went their separate ways: Novoni to Lake Pacifi, Valyth to the Australi Mountains, and Astelleo to the Tearoa Jungle, with his three Messengers tailing faithfully behind him as streaks of fire, water, and lightning. Millenio and Mewthree surveyed the scene one last time, and went their separate ways as well. The three guardians of Zeralis–Auranux, Jungaia, and Tiechros–bowed to the trainers who had fought to keep the land safe, and left as well, presumably to roam the land in secrecy, ready to rise up in case Zeralis ever needed their help again. At the center of the newly formed disc sat the eight orbs that had been used in the battle. Their owners went, picked them up, and left with the others to resume their adventures. And probably to get a good night's sleep as well. The battle was finally over. Solipsus was defeated, now and forever. And Zeralis was safe. Deep in the dimension of Nonexistence, a lone man stumbled in the dark, looking for anyone or anything that could help him. "Hello?" called Tajiro into the darkness. "Is anyone there?" Not that he would take their help anyway. But maybe they would have something he could use to get out of here? Suddenly, a pair of yellow eyes appeared ahead of him. "You! You there!" called Tajiro. "Show yourself, for I am the Champion of Zeralis, and soon the world!" A second pair of yellow eyes appeared, followed by a third. And a fourth. There were hundreds more appearing now, all around Tajiro. They looked… hungry. Suddenly, a last pair of eyes appeared directly in front of Tajiro. These ones were different, however; they were larger, red, and worst of all, familiar. Solipsus smacked its lips. He might be stuck here for the rest of eternity, but at least he'd have company. He lunged forwards, as did the rest of his minions. Tajiro screamed as the darkness converged on him. Then there was nothing. Nothing at all. |

The conference room above Tasmain Stadium was quiet as soon as Dr. Trazom slammed the door shut. The seven sets of eyes looked at him in the faint light as he sighed. “The media’s still trying everything they can to get the story.” “Maybe we should tell them. Tell them the truth, everything we know,” Lilia said quietly. “I don’t want anyone walking around with the misconception that Tajiro was a victim. This was all his fault.” The tall Pokémon standing next to her kept her eyes to the floor. “Stop whining, it’s over,” Jacques snapped. He was standing on the opposite side of the table. To his left were the other members of the elite four. Sergei’s arm was bound in a cast and he had several cuts and bruises on his face and unbound arm. Sakura had returned to staring out the window at the twilit sky. “Leave her alone, Jacques. It’s not her fault the Champion she’d been crushing on turned out to be a psychotic lunatic,” she muttered. Jacques snorted as Lilia shot him a dirty look; Flarya continued staring at the floor. “That’s enough,” Luna said calmly. “We have things to discuss. Things like these orbs,” she said, setting a violet orb, the one that had belonged to Tajiro, on the table. The last man standing around the table eyed it greedily. Dr. Trazom reached an arm across the table and picked it up, rolling it over in his hand as he looked at it. “Mr. Zanzio, if you would allow me to examine your orb as well, please,” he said sternly. The other professor handed it over slowly. Dr. Trazom looked at each one in his hands, holding them up against the light. Finally, he set one down and picked up the gold orb that had been laying in front of Lilia and held it up to the light next to the violet orb, and then the green orb. It was smooth and clear like them, but a bit lighter, and didn’t seem to give off the sparkling internal glow of the real ones. “Hm, if only I had the fake one to examine as well. It must have been very convincing to fool so many, and if it even has the power to evolve Gri as the normal orbs do… what could be the difference?” He mused. “I think that’s where these papers come in,” Lilia said. “His notes for the orbs,” she added, handing Trazom the stack of papers. He flipped through them and skimmed a few pages. 3/12 … Some of the same energy stored in the orbs is stored in the Element Shrines. When Gri evolves, both transfer that energy to it, so there must be a way to transfer the energy from one to the other… 7/29 The orb needs some of the life energy of a Pokémon; their connection gives the Pokémon the extra powers as well as charges and completes the orb. But how to connect the two? 8/25 Captured an old, powerful Absogno near the edge of the Abyss to use to test orb connections… Trazom frowned. “Hm. It seems he truly found a way to emulate the orb’s properties nearly perfectly, save for their connections with the temples. By the looks of it, the main step is having a Pokémon ‘connected’ to the orb…” “The Orb Guardians…” Sergei finally spoke up, though he barely whispered. “Yes, but the legends say nothing of how the Orb Guardians came to be, only that there had been a time where they looked no different than a normal member of their species,” Trazom said, now pacing slowly across the room. “Their physical transformation occurred some time after people had learned to harness the orb’s energies and the Regalia treasures. Is Tajiro saying he found a way to convert a normal Pokémon into the… for lack of a better word… Guardian form?” he stopped pacing and looked at the people sitting around him. No one spoke. He sighed and continued pacing again. “It’s a shame we don’t know how he did that. More orbs would allow more Gri to evolve, and Gri’s evolutions remain some of the most intriguing and mysterious Pokémon to date,” Luna said quietly, and she looked at Flarya as she said this. The fire Pokémon slowly looked up at her and around at the rest of the people around her. “Maybe, despite everything he did, Tajiro can still be accredited with a decent action,” she whispered to the fire Pokémon. “Oh, so disrupting the natural evolution of Pokémon and tampering with ancient relics and Pokémon protecting those relics are all good things?” Sakura asked sternly. “It is because of humans to begin with, the humans that sealed away the deities, that Gri lost their powers to evolve normally,” Luna replied calmly. “And it turns out they were doing that to keep Solipsus locked up too!” “Regardless, if we can at least get something from this terrible experience to be a bit useful…” They looked at Flarya again. Slowly, she stood up. My master knew of the Orb Guardians, but had only ever seen one, the Terrang. He reasoned that the Guardians had placed a part of their life force in the orb to give it its powers, and in doing so, that allowed the orb to transfer some of its energy to the Pokémon, that’s what gave them their extraordinary powers and less corporeal form. That combination of energy in the orb is so great that only the Guardian itself can harness the orbs power without ill effects, as it ‘matches’ the orb, or a very powerful Pokémon that is better at controlling great power already, such as the legendary Pokémon. Other Pokémon will slowly succumb to the power that they can’t control it. He had his first fake orb, the violet one. But he knew that it wasn’t complete, that something was missing. That something was an Orb Guardian, but he didn’t understand the connection between the two. So he needed to test some of his theories, and in order for him to do so he needed a test Pokémon. He caught an Absogno, tried everything, simply giving it the orb, having it attack the orb with its special attacks, standing at one of the shrines with the orb, nothing seemed to work, and the two couldn’t stand each other. Then he reasoned that the Absogno knew what he was trying to do, and was purposefully refusing to connect with the orb. If that were the case, then he needed to get the Absogno to connect with the orb on its own will… or manipulate it to doing so. “Well obviously he did the latter, probably confused it with his Exterrestre or something,” Sakura muttered. “And then that Absogno destroyed Svarthanes Village…” Lilia said quietly. Flarya looked at the floor again and nodded. Yes. After the Absogno transformed into an ‘Orb Guardian,’ it attacked Tajiro to attempt to take the orb, which was now glowing brightly and looked more like he believed the real orbs looked. When he escaped, it went for the next closest one, thinking it to be its own. That was the real Violet Orb, the Terrang’s. In its mad rage it destroyed Svarthanes. Terrang realized what was happening and went after the Absogno, hiding the orb deep in the hidden chambers in the mountains to protect it from it; Tajiro followed and found a way inside to the orb and swapped his fake one with the real one. I don’t think the Terrang realized because it still emitted the similar frequencies and energies that they felt the same at a distance, and he had the Absogno to worry about, who was also staying around because it sensed the orb. “So Tajiro’s responsible for destroying an entire village on top of everything else, too. What filth. And you were helping him all this time, Flarya?” Jacques glared at her. The fire Pokémon wavered for a moment. I was just a Gri then! I didn’t know what was happening, but Tajiro promised me evolution if I would swear to help him with all his endeavors. Do you know what the promise of evolution means to a Gri? It was a dream come true, and I vowed to do whatever I could to help Tajiro since he had given me such a wonderful gift. I didn’t…. I didn’t know that what he wanted all along was to cause destruction! “What a cute, blind little servant you were,” Jacques sneered. “Your stupidity and ignorance makes you nearly as guilty as your beloved ‘master’.” “Jacques, that’s enough…” Luna began, but Flarya suddenly spoke up. He’s right. I am ashamed. I should not have been gifted with evolution, that would have been better left to another Gri… She turned around and her eyes fell on the table- on the fake gold orb on the table. I will…. willingly… help other Gri to evolve. Perhaps that can redeem my purpose in life. “Flarya, what are you-!” The Flarios had grabbed the gold orb and held it delicately between her two hands. She shut her eyes. A bright, golden glow filled the room, emanating from the orb in Flarya’s hands. When it faded, the orb was glowing brightly now, in the same swirling, glowing light as the two real orbs. And Flarya suddenly looked quite different, as well. She held up a hand and looked at it for a few seconds, then placed the orb around her neck. The flames on her wrists and neck began flaring brighter than before as she looked at each of the humans sitting around the table and staring in awe. She closed her glowing eyes… “Flarya, NO!” … And vanished in a burst of flames. The room succumbed to silence again, save for the murmurings of the reporters and cameramen on the other side of the door. The seven people in the room looked at each other. Finally, Lilia spoke up. “We have a list of the trainers from the teams who helped in the battle, correct? Find a way to get in contact with them for the reward money, it’s the least the League can offer for their assistance. Now, let’s figure out what we’re telling those reporters out there,” she said quietly. All players who participated in the team squads in the battle against Solipsus may claim 15,000P in reward money (post here to claim). The Zeralis League is truly grateful for your selfless courage. They also ask that any sightings of Flarya be reported immediately.  |
