We Need Your Help! We actually have two projects we need help for, and they're both related, so I'll go over them one at a time. First, as most of you know, the new site is going to feature a full-fleged PokeDex. To make the process of building the dex entries either, our local code monkey MechanicalMonarch has created a brilliant program that practically does the job for us. One of the most remarkable features of the dex entry builder is its learnset creator; all you have to do is input the name and level of the move, and the program takes care of the rest. However, this requires.... Read More |

I was now on Millsweet Island, after having wondered about on Route 213 for way too long. Before doing anything else, I went straight to the local Gym to find out more about it. Apparently, the Gym Leader, Alyssa, is specialised in the use of Grass type Pokémon. This meant I knew it would be well worth my time to do some more training up. Given that there was a Gym on this island, I knew there would be powerful trainers. Because of this, I also wondered if that stranger person who keeps battling me and running away, the person whose name I don't know, was here as well, and how he was doing. If he was here, I suppose it was only a matter of time before I found and battled him again. I didn't want to battle him yet, so I found a random trainer to give them a battle and hope for the best. |

The child seemed very quite, almost as though this battle would be very easy for him. I was going to make sure that it wasn't. His first Pokémon was Munchlax, one that I have bad memories about after I battled one a long time ago, whose Metronome attack kept getting powerful attacks that hurt my Pokémon a lot, even KOing a couple of them. Because of that, I can't show mercy to a Munchlax, so I'm not going to be using Tarakin, annoyingly. Still, I have other Pokémon that'll work well. "Karama, come on out, use Mach Punch on that Munchlax!" I want to get rid of it quickly. This should do quite nicely. |

Munchlax quickly fainted, meaning my quite opponent sent out his second Pokémon, a Charmeleon. I had two choices for this battle. The first was to finish it quickly with Lapri, and be boring. The second was to have a chance to train up Pyroby slightly. I prefered the latter for the moment. "Come back Karama, you did great. Come on out, Pyroby, use Double Kick on Charmeleon!" I knew this would be as effective as using Lapri, but it shouldn'd be too bad. Edited by Jigglypuff13, Nov 11 2009, 02:47 AM.

So, with Charmeleon eventually beaten, and my team annoyingly weakened, I found out this trainer had one more Pokémon, a Pichu, one which looked slightly powerful, as though it had a powerful attack in it's arsenal. It didn't look like a good Pokémon to try and train Tarakin up against, but I had another Pokémon who would love to take this time to train up. "Come back Lapri, you did brilliantly. Come on, Toxicell, use Acid on Pichu!" It was the most sensible option available. |

I will admit, when I opened the Poké Ball, I wasn't exactly expecting that. It's not often that you find a human in a Poké Ball. It's never, normally anyway. Still, he was a trainer, and against which, I must battle. He started off my sending out a Bramhos, a Normal type Pokémon. Straight away, I thought that this was the perfect battle for Tarakin, until I thought about one move it had: Pursuit. Because of that single move, this wasn't the best battle for it, but I still thought I might as well go for it. "Come on out, Tarakin, use Leech Life on that Bramhos!" I hoped this would work. |

For some unknown, and brilliant, reason, the trainer decided to be slightly stupid, for which I am very happy. This was pathetic. Tarakin was doing nothing, essentially, whilst Bramhos could Pursuit all day and KO my Tarakin. The only option available to me was to switch, at which point, Pursuit would get extra powerful and KO Tarakin easily. My only hope was that my opponent wouldn't tell Bramhos to use Pursuit. "Tarakin, come back and have a rest, you did well. Come on out, Pyroby, use Double Kick on Bramhos!" |

So, Vaporeon was taken care of rather quickly, and next, another Eeveelution in the form of Flareon. I could take care of it rather quickly using Lapri, and whilst it was tempting, it just wasn't a smart idea since Lapri was already quite highly leveled up, but other Pokémon weren't. Pryoby still needed training, and due to it's resistance to Flareon, I thought Pyroby would be the perfect Pokémon that needed leveling up for the job. "Toxicell, you did brilliantly, come back. With Flareon kicked into oblivion, it was time to figure out how to KO Jolteon. I was tempted to use Tarakin, but after the beating it took from Bramhos, it wouldn't be possible. Toxicell would've made sense, but one other Pokémon i wanted to use. "Well done Pyroby, come back. Go UFO, use Confuse Ray!" He needed Levelling up as well. |

UFO successfully confused Jolteon, but it still got in a relatively weak Thundershock [19] 55/69[16] 61/61 [???]

Jolteon hopefully wasn't going to be much of a threat as UFO attacked. "UFO, now use Sonicboom on Jolteon!" I hoped this would work. |

Darn it, Jolteon Paralyzed UFO. How dare he do that. Still, I stuck with UFO, and I needed Confusion to kick in soon, but I wasn't going to count on it. "UFO, use another Sonicboom on Jolteon!" I hoped Paralysis wouldn't stop UFO. |

Interestingly enough, while Jolteon once again did not succumb to the dreaded "Hit yourself until you're numb" virus, UFO froze up. [19] 25/69 [PRZ][16] 41/61 [???]
