Stephen walked out of the lab, still wondering about this whole ordeal. Who were these people and what did they want with his father? Was he still safe? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After trekking through the city Stephen realized he hadn't seen his new Pokémon, so, upon instinct, he dropped the pokeball to the ground. With a flash of blue light a small blue and yellow Pokémon appeared, the fire typed Pokémon Cyndaquil. It was sleeping when it came out of the pokeball, and it didn't look like that was going to change. "Hey, Cyndaquil!" Stephen shouted, but all he got was a growl. "So are you a guy or a girl?" he asked the sleeping Pokémon, who responded by grabbing a bunch of dried leaves and putting them over its head. This was going to take some work. "Well, I go over a list of nicknames and you can show me which one you like." After going through an extremely long list with no response (but Cyndaquil was getting more and more annoyed) he arrived at the last name, Cyria. "So how does that sound?" Stephen asked, the Cyndaquil burst out of the leaves and flames began to crackle on its back. If that wasn't a sign enough, the dried leaves also caught fire and Stephen quickly smothered the fire with his shoe. "Cyria it is," He muttered, looking for his backup shoes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The next morning the two began on their long and arduous journey, the journey of Stephen's home, the journey of a lifetime. |

A small bird hopped out of a tree and eyed Stephen curiously. Stephen threw Cyria's pokeball and the small Pokémon appeared. "Cyria use tackle!" Stephen commanded, seeing if this Pokémon would be powerful enough. |

The little Cyndaquil darted forward and rammed into the Hoothoot, nearly knocking it into a rather large rock jutting out of the ground a few feet away. That would've been pretty painful... The bird hopped forward, somehow regained flight on those tiny wings, and flew forward- -and right by Cyria. (5) 13/23 (5) 16/26 [-1 Acc]

Cyria leaped back from her first KO, looking a bit smug. She blew a puff of smoke and then walked over to her pokeball and let herself in. It had bee a rough first battle, and they had nearly lost. Stephen would need something that could help them win... Suddenly his cell phone went off and, when Stephen looked at his phone, it showed a picture. A picture of a Pokémon. Suddenly a beam projected from his phone and a small Pokémon appeared before Stephen. It was a Porygon. Stephen looked at his phone, but all that remained on the screen was a text message. A gift Stephen called the Porygon into its pokeball and continued on. |

Cyria returned looking a bit beat up, but the Hoothoot didn't look any better or worse, so she was going to stay in the battle. The next few turns would come down to who was faster if the battle progressed like this, and I was sure Cyria was the fastest. "Okay, Cyria hit it with another tackle!" |
