Jeremy endured a difficult encounter with his rival, Oreo, on route 204 and finally managed to make it to Trovita Island. He knew what was in store for him as he had heard a lot about the gym leader, Rudy. Jeremy, erring on the side of caution, decided to purchase 10 hyper potions and a Black Belt from the Lone Wolf market. He did not want to take any chances.

Proceeding to the daycare, Jeremy picked up his Nebullion and deposited his Centilisk. With Centilisk off to the daycare, Jeremy welcomed AlbinoEevee into his team and attached to it the Exp Share to gain some valuable exp. In addition, Koalyptus would now hold the newly-purchased Black Belt and the Choice Band goes back to the Items list.

We're all set for the gym battle! Rudy, let's bring it on!

Your Koa went first this turn (though it's all up to chance) and struck hard, but it was left more vulnerable to its twin's attack.

OoC: To be honest, I think my Koalyptus should go first, considering its at level 37 with 85% exp. It is theoretically faster...

OoC: Sorry? Calculations are way off...How did sludge do more damage than my Horn Attack?
Both Horn Attack and Sludge have a move power of 65.
Horn Attack: Pierwhal's 135 Atk against Tsunamic's 100 Def. vs
Sludge: Tsunamic's 100 Sp Atk against Pierwhal's 70 Sp Def

My Pokémon does not have any weakness to poison attacks. Even if it poisoned Pierwhal, Sludge would would never have done 52 damage on its own. If you used Sludge bomb, it would be incorrect. Tsunamic only learns it at lvl 39, not 37.


Jeremy was surprised but he wasn't going to let it get to him. He was confident of his own calculations. He had lost the previous round and he could not afford another slip up.
Pierwhal, hit it again with another Horn Attack!

 OoC: Hmm, sorry, I misread the dex entry and thought that Sludge Bomb was learned at 37. Fixing here. Pierwhal still poisoned from Sludge, but changing damage.

The same attacks were repeated.

 Tsunamic took the horn in the ribs and was taken out tying up this match 1-1. The next battle will be the decider.

Pierwhal gains 25 exp. Eevee gains 1220 exp
