As I got off the boat, I ended up trying to decide what island to go to. After having a look round a bit on Shamouti Island, I decided it might be a good idea to head off towards Ice Island. Also, while I was looking around, I noticed all of the other trainers, if not all of them were older, were certainly more experienced. As I envied everyone around me, I called out Lapri in order to start swimming in the direction of Ice Island. |

Lapri may have been small, but it was eager to go, and swam powerfully through the rough waves. As you left the shore, though, another mis-aimed attack hit a cliff edge on Shamouti, and large rocks began tumbling down! |

I knew some quick thinking was needed to get away from the waterspout. To get out of it, a larger force would be needed to escape it. Thankfully, I still had something that could help me. "Come on out UFO, let me cling on to help drag me and Lapri out of the waterspout!" I just wished I had something a bit more powerful to help out, since I didn't think UFO would help too much, but was better than nothing. |

Fortunately, Ufo had all the powers of space to work with. It pulled you out of the waterspout, which instantly vanished, but the aforementioned GIANT ROCKS continued to fall. Take cover! |

There were two ways of taking care of the rocks. The first was to run and hide. Unfortunately, there isn't anywhere to hide in the sea. The second was to break them, and I knew I had the perfect Pokémon for that. "Come on out Solomaru! Jump up and Mach Punch those giant falling rocks, preferably into oblivion!" I was hoping Rock's weakness to Fighting wasn't limited to just Pokémon types. |

The rocks were shattered, but the impact they made capsized your small sailboat Pokémon. YOu managed to reboard after a few minutes, but Solomaru wasn't such a good swimmer it would seem... |

I knew there was much I could do right now since I was just concentrating on getting Solomaru back since I knew it would be useful later. "Come on out again UFO! Lapri, dive down to find Solomaru and bring him back to the surface quickly, and UFO, let me grab on to you and hold me in the air until Lapri comes back up!" I knew UFO could drag both me and Lapri out of a waterspout, so I didn't think it would be that hard for it to lift for but a moment whilst Lapri dived down. I just wish I could've seen Solomaru to have recalled him whilst on Lapri, but that just wasn't possible at that moment in time. |

Darn it! I needed to get back to Lapri and Solomaru and quickly, or at least leave some sort of trail to guide those two. I needed to find some way of breaking out of the gale. "Quick, UFO, use Sonic Boom to break the wind, then fly through the break. If the wind starts up again, use Sonic Boom again!" I just hoped it would be enough to get through the powerful gale, otherwise I feared losing Lapri and Solomaru. |

The wind was stubborn, and took four sonic boom's to break, all of which were angled to not hit you. And all of which hit the water after cutting through the wind, causing foru huge waves to knock you, Ufo, Solomaru and Lapri back to the shore of Shamouti... |

Back where I started, but at least back with Lapri and Solomaru. Aside from using Lapri to start the journey again, there wasn't much I could do, thus I recalled Solomaru and UFO, and then got Lapri to try and get me to Ice Island again. This time, I hoped there would be fewer dangers, otherwise I might see this shore a lot more often than I would wish. |

I had two ideas and neither of them seemed like they would work that well. I knew that, if I wanted to get to Ice Island, I would have to get past or through the dark energy. "Lapri, swim us away from the dark energy. UFO, use Flicker against it!" It's dark type, and Light should be good against it. Or at least, I hoped. |

I heard the water doing something, and thus knew I didn't want to look back. "Lapri, keep on swimming and UFO, allow me to grab on and drag me and Lapri away from whatever is happening behind us." I knew UFO would be able to pull me and Lapri, but whether it would be enough to escape whatever was happening behind me or not, I wasn't sure. |

As I looked down into the sea, I saw a mysterious dark object that looked vaguely biological. Just what I needed if it was something living, since I'm guessing, like everything else in nature at the moment, it will try to kill to me. I had two option. I could either get Lapri to swim on and pretend I never saw the mysterious shape, or I could try and call the living thing to the surface to find out what it was. As much as I wanted to ignore it, my inquisitive side wanted to find out what it was more, so I needed to draw it to the surface somehow. "Lapri, Growl, Splash, Flail, do whatever it takes to draw the thing swimming beneath us to the surface! Also, draw to stay clear of it when it does surface if possible." I was tempted to have a safety net out (UFO), but I thought Lapri would be too sensible to need a back-up plan. |

Just a Gyarados huh? Well, I knew this was going to be a tough battle, and I knew I couldn't run, since Lapri wouldn't be able to swim away fast enough. "UFO, go, use Thunder Wave!" I didn't particularly care about Gyarados here, so I decided I would try and KO it ASAP. First, to disable it, I hoped. |

While UFO was originally going to be a sacrifice just to Paralyse Gyarados. However, it was after Thunder wave did it's job that I thought of an old tactic, Parafusion, which involves Paralysis and Confusion on the same Pokémon. I think I did that before, but I can't quite remember for some reason. "UFO, use Confuse Ray on Gyarados!" I just hoped this worked. Even if it didn't, Voltot will happily finish Gyarados off quickly, or, at least, I hoped it would. |

OoC: Should I be on Shamouti now, or am I going to continue battling Gyarados? If I'm on Shamouti, I'll start walking deeper into the island, preferably climbing up some sort of mountain if there is one. If I'm battling Gyarados, UFO will use Sonic Boom. |

With the powers that be understanding the reference of "super special awesome", I was considering trying another Anime/Abridged series reference for the next attack, but couldn't think of anything good, so simply said: "Voltot, use Thunder Shock!" I praised Voltot for being so brilliant, and then took stock of my situation. I was on Shamouti Island, right by a lake, which was strange since I could swear I was in the water when battling Gyarados. Still, I didn't particularly care being on dry land and everything. I thought I'd have a bit of a wander around the island, to see if I could find something of any interest. |

A trail of coconuts is certainly interesting, but in this set of four islands, I'd learned that anything interesting would normally lead to some sort of mortal danger. Still, being a thrill seeker, it was always fun, so I decided to travel in the direction that the coconuts led. |
