ooc: Switching Gazalaxy for... someone, I'll update that in a sec Novoni and Kirun walked quietly along the small islands and sandbars that dotted the route. The weather had remained cloudy and ominous through the night, but she didn't want to delay any longer. Which was odd; route 204 was supposedly one of the most beautiful island routes in the archipelago, and it hardly ever stormed. Yet Novoni kept casting an upwards glance to the ever-thickening clouds. "Well, this is a bit of false advertising..." she murmured to no one in particular. Kirun nodded, but Novoni wasn't sure if he even understood what advertising was. "Well, let's go look for some Pokémon or something, Kirun, we could use some training, whaddaya say?" |

The wind, though, was getting progressively worse. "I still don't get it, Kirun. This weather here's supposed to be great, especially at this late in the season. Something weird's going on... It must be..." She said some time later. The wind had calmed down slightly, but it was still far too dark for the time of day. And now, something had caught their eyes up ahead on a sandbar, a shadow against the dark sky. Novoni couldn't even tell if it was a Pokémon or a trainer, or even a rock... |

Saffiri darted forward and missed..., but a Caterpie fell out of the sky and struck Canarosa on the head. It then fell to the ground, knocked out. You looked around for the free falling Caterpie, but it had vanished! Saffiri and Kirun gain 40% and 30% exp Then the trainer released his own Artiace. [36] 130/130

Kirun looked up, and Novoni did likewise. The sky is getting so dark... we'd better hurry. She looked back at Sonata, who was standing perfectly still even as yet another Mudkip ran in front of her and was stomping the ground with a front paw. It was almost funny, seeing the small water Pokémon trying to be intimidating. "Just... keep going, Sonata..." Novoni murmured. |

Almost..... done... Swampert looked threatening, but Canarosa still hadn't moved aside from flapping her wings to send the cyclone of petals at each Mudkip, and now Novoni merely nodded for her to strike again. |

3/3 trainers, 1/?? wilds... "Alright, great job, Sonata, let's get going..." Novoni said, recalling the large bird. Kirun was looking nervously out over the ocean. "Kirun, what's up?" The clouds seemed darkest out over the ocean, and Novoni figured that was towards the center of the Orange Islands... "'Fraid of a little rain, Novi?" a voice called behind her. Startled, she spun around. "Leo! What are you doing here?" She called back. "Just traveling around the islands, as usual. What about you? Make it back to Zeralis yet?" "Of course not," she snapped. "But at this rate, I might as well finish up here, first. Listen, let's catch up later, Ok? We really need to make it to Trovita before-" "Aw, come on, it's been awhile, and my Pokémon need their exercise. What about yours? Are you ready?" He smiled, and Novoni rolled her eyes and reluctantly reached for a Pokeball. "Fine. We'll make it quick." |

"Kirun, get ready!" Novoni said, and the Lunarion smiled and crouched down, ready to attack. "Water Press-" A screeching roar cut her off. Leo, Novoni, and their Pokémon looked up. Lugia! It can't be! The silver bird had burst out of the sea a fair distance out, but its identity was unmistakable. And it was heading over the horizon. Novoni began running down the sandbar, and Kirun followed. She tossed Aria's Pokeball into the air, and the Lapras stretched in the water. "Novoni! Whaddaya think you're doing?! Are you insane?!" Leo yelled. "Rain check, Leo, I'll be back!" she called behind her. [temp. locked] |

After she'd captured the Vollav, she'd reached the cliff just in time to witness the end of the great battle- apparently, both Millenio had appeared, but a strange blue Pokémon had also come to help Lugia. The Millenio vanished, oddly, and the islands were restored. She twirled the small, silver feather in her hand as she flew back to Trovita on Seiryu. Seiryu, whose original trainer had also been exploring Shamouti, and whom he'd gotten separated from even before the boat reached shore. Assuming the worst, he had continued on, and Novoni, who arrived late on Aria, found the small Swablu floundering around. It turned out to be a fortunate mistake that, in her rush to get to Shamouti, she hadn't had time to withdraw another Pokémon in place of Saffiri after she'd desposited the ice fox quickly. Novoni felt bad for taking another trainer's Pokémon, but Seiryu had already grown a tremendous amount- evolving twice- throughout the islands, and the two trainers decided to make it an official trade, after Novoni bid farewell to Keego, the Telazure. She tucked the silver feather away again and dozed off while the Ryumulus continued flying back towards Trovita. -------------- The next day, she headed back to the previous route, looking to just relax and get away from the bustling Pokemoncenter, where people had heard of the event with Lugia and were chatting excitedly, looking for trainers who had witnessed it. Kirun trotted beside her, as usual, along the sandbar. Soon, she noticed another figure approaching. Squinting against the sun to see, she noticed it was none other than Leo, to finish the match they'd never really started. She sighed. She wasn't in the mood for another battle, but knew she wouldn't be able to get out of it either way. "So, you're back! And alive." "You sound surprised?" Novoni looked at him. "Well... yeah. You're pretty crazy to go off chasing a legendary Pokémon. And you look kinda beat." "Yes, but you're still just looking for a battle, right?" she asked. "Of course! I want to see if your little journey helped with your training!" he replied, and tossed a Pokeball into the air... |
