 I'm making this line of grass Pokémon you see and I get get them to look "real" enough. Anyone help?

 Like when I try to scale it down they don't look right, they're to small. And for the first one (the one that scalled down ok) he doesn't seem pokemony enough

 maybe add seeds or leaves to them. Give them some extra little things instead of a leaf-tail, that would work in the pokemon-y part. As for the scale down... No clue >.<

 A collar of leaves might seem a bit cliche, but leaves on some other places might help... think of Leafeon, it's actually relatively bare for a grass type in my opinion. Perhaps a leafy ridge going down their backs, or around their "elbows" or ankles, and always moreso on the evo than the prevo, the prevo might just have buds or seeds.

Markings on the fur (Umbreon), or different colored tufts of fur at spots, maybe around the paws or head (Growlithe, Mightyena) are good bets, and the eyes actually play a major part in giving a creature a "Pokémon" feel. The first one should probably have bigger eyes than the evos, to make it appear younger, for instance. It's a lot of trial and error, really. Maybe google some picture of specific plants or leaves, and mess around with what looks best.
