In the Key of Chanukah Posts: 3,222 Group: Administrator Member #1 Joined: January 25, 2007 RPG Profile http://orangeislands.net/topic/325778/1/ RPG Adventure http://orangeislands.net/topic/8521212/1/	Due to an error when replacing hardware on Zathyus Network's server 6, which this board is hosted on, the hard drives on the server were completely wiped, and the boards were restored from the most recent backup, which, in our case, was when we converted in May. The guys down at the data center are still working to see if it is possible to restore the board to a more recent date despite the hard drive being wiped, but it could be up to two weeks before we have a definite answer. Until then, we have put up a Temporary OI Stadium for you guys to use. It functions almost identically to Pummelo Stadium, and even offers more freedom due to the fact that current teams are not accurate. Thank you for sticking with us during this crisis, and we hope to be able to restore the rest of the lost data at some point in the next two weeks. If not, we'll start rebuilding as soon as we get the word that more data cannot be recovered.

Whats up? Ya that is my question. In other words we should turn this into some sort of Temp-RPG discussion thread. Post comments... things like that. I know for me looking through the site feels like going back to the 80's and watching my parents at the disco... Its just so weird seeing all of you with weaker Pokémon in your sigs and well... different sigs and avatars. Also, throw some support to the shoutbox and we might be able to get TX to bring it back! Its my new old account. And those ads are HILARIOUS. I see them all the time here. I noticed it yesterday and wanted to bring it up in the shoutbox but couldn't :(. But I could I just didn't know that I could have. Worst part is that all my contributions to the dex are gone. But I do get a chance to make like a thousand new ones.

Personally I'm assuming the worst and prepping my self to restart. And its going to seem so tedious until I get back to Tarroco Island. I have to think of a way to mix it up... If you haven't written down your team yet, I'd suggest doing so and saving it somewhere.

But do alot of people really remember what they had in their boxes? Plus their are some positives with this. Now their is no longer an excuse to keep the real Pokémon sprites from D/P over Platinum. After all they do have to be replaced. Although I was excited for the Pokémon stadium were you could battle with custom sprites. Couldn't wait to see what Novoni would have made for that. Anyways because I didn't really get all that far, I'm considering restarting just for the heck of it. I could have written a better story. And I'm still trying to think about a theme for my Pokémon nick names. Also if it says, "Viewing Website" in the active users what are they doing now thing. Where is that? Oh and what is XTS' current name? And is Second Exile the same person as Exile? Lastly why is my user number 931 if it says that we only have 463 users in the OI. If they're viewing a website, that means that they're viewing an added webpage, or in this site's case, the chatbox. XTS is Renegade Wave. Second Exile is Exile. And your member number counts from the total number of members we've had register here, but we pruned a lot of spam accounts while on IF, so the two sets of numbers are inconsistent.

LONG ago. Back when we wanted to do some stuff. I'm not the best. Far from it. But java is relatively simple. I'm in my second year of a programing course, but that's probably enough to do most things. In fact I want to do a Pokémon as my end of the year project. The only problem is that I have yet to learn how to make my programs run independently of an IDE. So that you just download one file, instead of a file and something to run it in. Anyways if you do need me to write a program for you PM me. I'll see if I can handle that. I can learn how to make programs run independently hopefully if needed. Also TX you should change your member title thing. It doesn't fit with the sig and avi. Anyways verging off topic. Back to whats lil mean? And I wanna re-bring up a coordinator contest thing. But we have no information at this time on whether the data is salvageable. If some of you recall server 1, it took nearly 3 weeks for the techs to examine s1. When we can say for sure whether the data can be restored or if it is completely lost, an announcement will be made.
