Important Factions The Hunters The Hunters are an elite group of trainers that have one mission: prevent the exploitation of legendary Pokémon. To do this, Huntsman (members of The Hunters) are highly trained in espionage and combat (both with and without Pokémon). The Master Huntsman handpicks six trainers to be Huntsman, and they go through one year of intensive training. The Hunters were once an ancient order, but they only recently resurfaced after the fall of Solipsus. If rumors are to be believed, Tajiro was once a Huntsman himself, and he is responsible for forcing The Hunters to move their activities underground. The threat of Solipsus was too much for them to handle after the order was nearly vanquished. In ancient times, Huntsman were said to form an immensely powerful bond with a single Pokémon, and this bond allowed for the trainer to access Pokémon-like abilities; however, no evidence of this bond existing has ever been seen. Important Characters Staci Rissen Age: 22 Hair Color: Brown Eye Color: Hazel Height: 5'08" Weight: 120 lbs Place of Birth: Olivine City, Johto Staci was the firstborn twin and second child of Alexander Rissen and Leana Royce. She was a determined and enduring child, and she idolized her father, a former champion of Kanto. Staci strived to be the best at everything, and this determination and dedication caused her to isolate herself from most of her peers (unlike her brother); however, her goals became realities. Staci easily skipped through the levels of primary school, and she finished secondary school at the age of twelve. It was at this point her father, a highly acclaimed Pokémon Trainer Tutor, took Staci under his wing as a student. Staci proved to be highly successful in this too. In a month, she had passed her father's Introductory Course, and was ready to capture her partner Pokémon. As per her father's reccomendation, most trainers pursued an easy target, a Rattata or a Pidgey, but Staci decided those were too weak for her, instead opting to capture a rare Dratini. This took her several weeks, as she had to study the migration patterns of these Pokémon, but one night, she returned home soaked to the skin. Shivering from the cold, she proudly presented her Dratini to her father. He was impressed. Staci graduated from the Beginner's Course in record time, and upon joining the Intermediate Course, was already a more capable battler than most trainers there. Her apparently easy success earned her the contempt of her fellow students, and, like all her life, she was shunned. Staci didn't care, however, and several month later, she had graduated from her father's Advanced Course. This meant she was a fully realized trainer, and she left for the region of Hoenn. Little did she know, this would be the start of something much bigger. ----- Staci spent two years in Hoenn. Instead of taking the Pokémon League challenge, Staci decided to be a trainer-for-hire. She took on odd jobs all over Hoenn for a price. This proved a more challenging experience than the gym challenge likely would have been. Staci frequently had to solve mysteries, hunt down criminals, and embark on interesting adventures. Her personal safety had been in jeopardy more than once, but that was part of the fun for her. She needed something to push her to the limit. Staci caught several new partners in Hoenn, the most prominent being Torchic. The fire-type Pokémon was the most capable battler Staci had ever seen, and together they never lost a match. Staci and Torchic, while never becoming renowned throughout Hoenn, garnered the attention of something bigger, The Hunters. Staci was eighteen when Solipsus fell, and her fourth year of being in Hoenn had just begun. While most of the world was awestruck by this event, Staci saw something that brought nothing but frustration. Her twin brother, the laid back slacker, was in the footage of Solipsus being battled. Staci knew she should not be jealous, but she couldn't help it. She was the one who spent countless of hours putting in effort. She should be the one on television. She deserved it, not Stephen. She stormed out of her apartment, looking to do something worthy of renown. The Sky Pillar was a good place to start. Only the strongest trainers attempted to scale it, and fewer returned. Staci quickly arranged for a boat to take her there. In a few short hours, it loomed over Staci menacingly. Climbing the tower proved simple, the wild Pokémon were no obstacle; however, what awaited her at the top of the tower was much more dangerous. There was a man at the top. He was fairly unremarkable save for his right arm; it was entirely mechanized. A green orb was grasped in his robotic claws, and he held it to the sky, shouting for the legendary Rayquaza. Before the legendary Pokémon could show up, he noticed Staci and tossed forward a Poké Ball. Out came the most sinister-looking Pokémon Staci had ever seen. It's scales were like dusk, shifting be ween shades of dark blue, purple, and black. The real terror came from its eyes. Rather than a sclera, iris, and pupil, this Pokémon's eyes were glowing red. The beast attacked instantly, and Staci barely had enough time to call out her own Pokémon. She chose Dratini, and attempted to cripple the beast with Thunder Wave. She failed, but Dratini was too skilled to be taken out by the beast easily. Choosing to go for a more offensive tactic, Dratini wrapped itself around the beast's neck until it collapsed. The situation never had a chance to progress further, because as the beast collapsed, a man, probably in his early fifties, arrived at the top of the tower. The man with the robot arm wasted no time fleeing, he quickly recalled the beast and took off on a flying Pokémon. The newcomer introduced himself as Ezira, and expressed his amazement at Staci's prowess in battle. He asked Staci if she would like to help him stop overly ambitious villains like the one she had just battled, and when she accepted, he explained his organization, The Hunters, to her. It was then Staci left Hoenn to train under Ezira in the art of being a Huntsman. The next year, Staci went through the most brutally intensive training course she had ever been through, but she emerged a fully fledged Huntsman, an expert in espionage and combat. During her training, her brother was made an initiate Huntsman. Staci found this odd since Stephen had made a huge name for himself, but Ezira reassured her. "The best cover can often be who you once were. Stephen can go places where an unknown trainer cannot. His former ties to Team Eclipse give him useful connections in the underground. He is a skilled trainer, and we can use his expertise." It was during their training where Staci finally became closer to Stephen. He, despite his fame, was still a weaker battler than Staci, and she helped him to improve his techniques. Likewise, Stephen gave Staci some hints on how to portray a more sociable character; doubtless, a situation would arise where it was needed. The Twins, as they were called by other Huntsmen, earned a reputation as the most promising initiates seen in this era. Following her training, Staci received numerous missions. These were always dangerous, often involving the underworld, but they were necessary to gather information on upcoming groups in the world. In several years, a few small groups popped up and we're quickly eliminated, but one bigger and far more evasive group was also lurking in the shadows. In an effort to learn more about this group, Stephen was sent to Zeralis to hunt for members; however, contact was lost almost immediately. Staci wanted to instantly go to Zeralis to find her brother, but she was assigned to hunt in Amaya. Despite her irritation at this, Staci packed up a few belongings and made her way to this new region.
