Kanto

  1. Pallet Town

    A small town on the southern tip of Kanto. It serves as the home of Kanto's Pokemon Laboratory, as well as the world renowned Professor Samuel Oak.

    A small, sloped route heading north from Pallet. This route is the home of common Pidgeys and Rattatas, as well as the occasional Spearow.

  3. Viridian City

    The southernmost major city in the Kanto region. It use to be the home of the 8th Gym of Kanto but it has been recently abandoned.

  6. Route 3

    A sloping route filled with trainers and bushes. The tall grass here hide various types of Pokemon, including the elusive Jigglypuff. The route ends with a Pokemon Center in front of Mt. Moon.

  7. Mt. Moon

    A large mountain separating Pewter City and Cerulean City. The mountain is said to serve as home to the Clefairy, which are said to have come from space with the Moon Stone, which is also housed there.

  8. Cerulean City

    A fairly large city in the northern section of Kanto. The city is bordered by a river to the north, and the mysterious Rock Tunnel to the east. It also serves as home to Misty, who runs the Water-typed gym there.

    This route leads to the pitch-black Rock Tunnel. These routes also hold the Kanto Power Plant, which is home to many electric types due to the power it lets off.

    A pitch-dark tunnel leading from the northeastern corner of Kanto to the strange Lavender Town. The tunnel serves as home to many Machop and Onix.

    This mysterious city sits south of the exit of the Rock Tunnel. The city's gigantic Lavender Tower serves as the gravesite for deceased Pokemon.

  15. Route 11 & 12

    Route 11 and 12 connects Lavendar Town to the port city of Vermillion with the long boardwalk extending the length of the eastern coast of Kanto. Over the past few years, however, it has been flooded with the rising sea levels.

  16. Vermillion City

    The largest port city in all of Kanto. The city has a number of things, including the Pokemon Fan Club and an Electric-typed gym, run by Lt. Surge.

  17. Route 6

    This route is located north of Vermilion City and leads to Saffron. It has been turned into a craggy rock land since the flooding of Diglett Cave and the relocation of the Diglett.

  18. Saffron City

    The largest city in all of Kanto. Among its landmarks are Silph Co.’s headquarters and one and a half gyms: one is Sabrina’s Psychic gym, and the other is a fighting dojo that is not recognized by the Elite Four.

  19. Celadon City

    One of the largest cities in all of Kanto. With its towering skyscrapers, it houses both the Celadon Department Store and the Gym of Erika, a skilled trainer of Grass-type Pokémon.

  20. Cycling Road

    A very long road especially made for cyclists, but has been mostly taken over by local biker gangs. It provides an ideal shortcut from Celadon to Fuchsia, but the same cannot be said for the reverse.

    This town is located near the end of Cycling Road. It has many tall skyscrapers and buildings, despite being called a town. There is also a lookout spot that connects to the sea near the town.
